Review: X2: X-MEN UNITED

Professor Xavier: “Mutants.  Since the discovery of their existence, they have been regarded with fear, suspicion, often hatred.”
To be completely honest, X2: X-MEN UNITED truly is not that much more superior compared to the first X-MEN film, but it is still great. The problem that holds this one back from perfection is that it holds on to a balance between full-blown, ultra-combustive intensity that is much more powerful than we saw in the first movie (and, therefore, never expected to see here); the other side of the scale is the fact that, since the first film was 1 hour and 44 minutes and this one ran overtime by nearly a whole half hour, X2 just runs on much longer than it should. Truthfully, about fifteen minutes of its final product should have been cut out, and then it would have become a much neater production.
Dr. Jean Grey: “Mutation: it is the key to our evolution.”
