Happy Birthday, Harrison Ford!

Not only is today Friday the 13th, it’s the 70th birthday of Harrison Ford!  I start off my new feature, “Birthdays & R.I.P.s” with a brief list of the more notable films Ford has appeared in.  The use of three asterisks (***) denotes a film I still have to see, and I’ll try to link to my reviews whenever possible.

The Conversation (1974)***
Star Wars (1977)
Apocalypse Now (1979)***
The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)

    • I know, it’s so hard to believe. But believe it or not, he actually IS seventy years old. Too bad he’s dug himself into un trou of forgettable films. It’s weird how the most recent Indiana Jones movie was much better than Temple of Doom (in my opinion), but not quite as memorable. Probably because Temple of Doom–along with Gremlins–gave America the need for a PG-13 rating.

        • I saw it when I was around 9-11 years old, and I don’t remember liking it very much. My personal favorite of the series is Last Crusade, but the one that endures the most viewings is the first, Raiders of the Lost Ark. I’ve seen it at least five times.
