Recently, I saw The Great Gatsby, my final plowing through Baz Luhrmann’s filmography (that is, until he strikes again).
Okay, he isn’t the best director, but he isn’t the worst either. He’s had his fair share of good movies (Moulin Rouge!) as well as of torture in disguise (Strictly Ballroom). Though “torture in disguise” would be a better descriptor for Michael Bay’s Transformers debacles, which I have successfully managed to avoid ever since the first hit theaters in ’07.
Before I surprise myself in my ability to ramble from Luhrmann to Michael Bay to Uwe Boll, I digress.
